Fall DDC programs are now active and ready for registration. We are excited about another season of working with players and aiding in their personal development. The DDC has undergone many changes over the years, and each year we look to improve the quality of the programs, coaching and overall player experience.

This year we are proud to offer the following programs, time and dates. All programs are run at Merle Logan Turf field on Monday evenings.

This is a 20 week program that runs from Sept 13 to March 7, 2011 (approx $15/Session)

 This season, Academy programs are also available to players from the U11 to U15 age groups. For more information on the Academy Program, please contact the Technical Director at technical@nanaimosoccer.ca.

For this season, the coaches will continue to develop players based on their abilities. Continuing to work with the Long Term Player Development model from the Canadian Soccer Association and the BC Soccer Association (Details on the program available on this link by clicking "Wellness to World Cup"). Players will be placed in programs initially based on their age groups. As players train with coaches, players will be identified on their ability and may be moved to other sessions or groups.

LTPD strives to place players in appropiate groups based on their technical ability, which in some cases may be above or below their calendar age. When these decisions are made by the head coach, a discussion with the player and the parent will be conducted.

During the 2010 Season, the DDC launch an initiative to provide report cards to the players through the sessions so players had more take away information they can work on. Due to major time constraints and some technical aspects not working, we did not launch this initiative. For the 2010/11 sessions, we have create a report card of information that we will be providing to the players mid November and beginning of February for them to review with the coaching staff and parent, so the players understand where their abilities are and what more they can do on their own to help in their development.

ACADEMY PROGRAM

The Academy Program is open to all players in the DDC for the following season, as noted from U11 to U15. Details on the Academy Program will be posted shortly.

COACHES

This year we haev our returning coaches for the DDC program. We are proud of the selection of coaches that work within our DDC, and they are amongst the most respected and recognized coaches in the province. Details on our coaching staff is available at this link "HERE"

PAYMENT PLAN

Nanaimo Youth Soccer recognizes that the additional programs sometimes come at an added cost to the membership and the families involved. To help reduce the initial financial burden of the program at a time when school is just starting back, a payment plan is available to the families.

The payment plan will consist of an initial payment of $100 at time of registration, then followed by $50 payments due on the following months of Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan. We hope this will help spread the cost out for more players to be able to participate. We will require post dated cheques for the 30th of each month at the time of registration.
